Were two, if memory serves me correctly, first in 33 or 34, and the second in 38, the invasions of locusts which suffered for our country then. I remember the comments for the elderly, about the tragedy that threatened our republic, in the presence of locusts. This bug, as little as four or five centimeters, voracious ravaging crops, trees, gardens and vineyards and threatened the economy of an entire country.
already had "devoured" everything planted in southern Brazil, coming from the Chaco of Paraguay and Uruguay amenazabacon enter. The "sleeves" of lobster were at the mercy of the wind, but they were adamant at the time of the invasion. They were seen coming as a formless mass, dark cloud presaging a storm.

My personal experience was unique.
