The Colombian National Indigenous Organization, ONIC in conjunction with agricultural organizations, trade unions, Afro-descendants and other organizations convened on 15 May in the Cauca to the great national day, with the aim of strengthening convergence process, unity and joint social organizations and political movements in perspective alternative new forms of social mobilization to help defend life, territories, and organizational processes.
The reasons that have to get up peoples are the same reasons we call for everyone. The towns are faced with the word, with their dreams, with songs that revive the hope, however, are constrained by the death that measure our steps, which wields silent weapons state which does not represent 52% of the poor who lack access to health, or 90% of the working poor who have no security of pensions, let alone the 8 million poor (road to misery) who live in rural areas and 15 million in cities share the same conditions.
The Colombian State death legitimizes and offers no guarantees to the opposition, expression, social mobilization and organization.
