Migration can be defined as the process of population movement, collectively or individually, either international or across borders within of a country. Migration encompasses any type of displacement, refugees, people displaced by natural disasters or armed conflict, uprooted and economic migrants or those seeking new opportunities open trying to access basic services like education.
Migrants bring with them much of their own culture and lifestyle, which is why Popayán has become a multicultural city that is constantly changing the significance of everyday practices that are narrated with a new language. Students from many parts of Colombia have contributed to a unique synthesis of many different cultures has become the city of Popayan.
